omg omg!!! the last chapter!!!!

omg so i was a good chapter!:]] it totally influenced on how people should really think! I thought the only sad part was when Marija told jurgis that her life couldn't go on with on prostitution; and that that was the only way of her getting money. I thought he reacted fine to it. Over all the book was a good book i think Jurgis found out alot of things about life and him self. Yes maybe be turned in to a different person but over all he changed for the best; and he is going to do better in life and all. I thought it was nice how he moved up in a higher society of working class. I guess i liked how the book ended.. At least it ended!:]

Chapters 29-30:]

So chapter 29, I think that it was the most boring thing in the world! In this chapter he meets a man; his name is Ostrinski. was telling them that he lived in the world of freedom. and that he was a free man. This man starts talking about socialism and how bad it is. He was calling the economy a wage slavery. I felt this chapter this was very pointless because i kinda got lost in the words. The next chapter was a little more interesting he goes and visits Teta Elizebita and she is so happy to see him. I think that this is good because the thing with family is that they will always be there and i was happy she didn't turn her head to her. In this chapter he also got a job:]] And gets $30.00! This is a good chapter so far things are getting just a bit better:]

Chapter 27-28:]] December 8th 2010

So This reading was pretty up and down again. I feel that this book will never have stable happiness. I guess that just how life is. So lets See... Chapter 27, Jurgis losses his job, and cant find another. With the strike going on he doesn't have much of a chance of finding one either. Since he was getting easy money like nothing being poor totally got to him and he was not liking it. So me meets this lady who knows where Marija is at and Jurgis goes and visits her. But when he finds out that its a brothel. This makes me real sad i mean selling your body is really big and that just shows how bad life really was:[. So next chapter, 28 He goes to this trail and he get no penalty:]] happy day to him. I was kinds surprised the Judge didn't recognize him, but then again the judge sees millions of people. He keeps trying to find a job but I'm pretty sure he wont find one because of all the strikes and all. OMG worst part of the book is that Marija gets addicted from morphine:[ ughh sadness all over again. I mean that really sucks that he finally goes back to his family and find out all these bad things about the. I'm ready to be done with book its way to sad!

mmmmm chapet 26....short>>FOR ONCE!

So ummm okai so this chapter was a pretty cheerful one i like it :]].. I thought it was pretty tight that they did a strike.. I mean i don't blame them because the factory place got shut down. Any ways so Jurgis is having everything term upside down. I thought it was pretty cool that he asked for a 3 dollar raise an actually got it like nothing... So then He gets asked to be the boss of the killing bed. I think this is tight because he end up being nothing to something! My favorite part was when he saw the guy who raped his wife and attacked him.. yaahhh!!! that's right that stupid man had to pay up for it some how, and yes violence in this case was needed!:D butt mmmm yeah he goes to jail again! dang he might as well live there.. Anyways its a pretty chill chapter.. I enjoyed it:]

The Jungle>> pages 23-36

So the jungle islike a never ending rollercoaster!!! I kinda want to gett off it already! jaja:]
i mean who doesnt! But ugggheh ovr all Mr. JB chose a chill book tooo long but chill.
Anyways So chapters 23 all strts out that Jurgis gets a job in Chicago as building railroad fraights. So yeah badluck comes along and Jurgis brakes his arm...AGAIN! So he goesto the hospital and he spends christmas alone...AGAIN! Once he gets out he has no where to go so hes really cold and all. Next chapter 24, He cant fina a job and he meets this tight dude, Freddie J!:] wwwoohooo nice dude.. and he is rich;] lol so umm yea he give him the privlage of coming to his house!! and then he gives him a $100 dollar bill:D yay!! but then stupid people like the buttler had to be born!!! And stupid him had to kick him out:[.. So ten next chapter,He goes and changes the money at the saloon like a dum a??! And that stupid man gives him .95 cents!! waaowww what a losser and umm yeah he totally beats the crap out of him and then he goes to jail.....AGAIN! but 10 days this time. So he gets out gets in to the wrong pat o mugging people earns $50 bucks. Thes finally stops that non-sence and gets a job as a hog trimmer...what ever that is:] and yeah that all....:]]

chapter 20-22:]]

So In chapter 20-22 there was many things going up and down. In this first chapter he is in much confusion. He really doesn't know what to do with his life and he actually starts noticing he really did love Ona and he didn't really cherish her. Elzbieta told him to get up and do something with his life because he had to pull him self together for his son. Ona left him the last memory of her and he should work hard to keep him with him. I thought it was nice he still would look for jobs even thought they would reject him because he was on the blacklist. So the next chapter, 21 e got a job and then suddenly they cut him off like nothing! This make Jurgis feel really helpless because they don't even give him time to think what to do next. So i thought it was real sad how the little kid had to go to the garbage and look for food. I Thought it was nice that he got a new job because of the lady that recommended him. Once he got the job he started dreaming again and thinking about what to do next. But till he got home and found that his baby drowned and died!;[ So the next chapter 22, he left he walks to no where and anywhere. I thought this really helped him because he didn't go to alcohol he just walked away. Maybe its not the best way to work out a problem but he didn't have anything to live for anyway. Why not just start out a new begging. I liked yet not liked these chapters.. I really don't know what to expect next...?

Holly Freaking long!!!! Goodness.. chapters 7-19!! wwoooaaawww!→

Okay well lets start this out with saying it was the most longest readings i have done during a brake! I read though, and also that was the only way i could go out during my break! So these 7 chapters were intense! Like i was like omg wt? jajaja... No really Mr J.B you should have split up these chapters it was real long.. ooo well.. anyways lets get to the reaction...>>>>>

So it all starts out with chapter 7, man this time period was hard i could not be able to survive! The working conditions were just crazy. They didn't have heat in the meat plants during the winter! Holy Stupid people man this gets me mad. I don't know about you guys but i cant stand being cold like now the winter→h8 it! O also if they were sick they never got a change for like recovery they would just fire them.So obviously people wouldn't complain an they would just go along with life suffering! Also Jurgis is tripping out! He is in 100 dollar dept and he is not liking it. The wedding totally didn't do good how they thought it would! Chapter 8 was just a crazy one!I had  up an down stuff i got confused on how to even feel! So lets see Marija looses her job:/! aww maynn And it wasn't just her suffering with job looses it as a lot of people. If it wasn't loosing your job you would get house cut back, like Jurgis.  But there is always goods to bad things Tamoszius and Marija really like each other! I'm super happy she mat a guy who she really liked. Especially with all the things going on i mean a good thing wouldn't hurt. I was so happy that he proposed to her! yay! And she excepted! So next chapter it was a pretty chill one:] So Jurgis starts leaning english. I like that he is becoming more independent. So he starts going to the union meeting you know just goin along an he starts finding out all the things from the meat places and ughh i dont think he likes it! I wouldnt either! But hopefully he does something about it because i feel many people will die from meat problems!  So chapter 10 was a pretty up and down chapter too. Marija got her job:] but then lost it like two months later! Jrgis does take kind of a procaution, he asks what all the hidden money goes to and thy him 6 dollars go t water, 7 dollars to insurance, and 10 to taxes. He did not like this one bit! I mean i would not like it either they tricked him! OMg an oOna ispregnent! wooohoo:] So she had her baby and they name him Antanas, after The fater of Jurgis! An working conditions yeah super nasty like as has been in the last chapters!:] yay more reading!!!!!:///// So next chapter> 11, yeah, well doesnt get any better! The wages are cut! waaaow! didnt think it could get lower! So the good thing about this chapter is that Marija get a saving account! so i mean she is getting more independent so thats good!  Next chapter, which would be 12. Jurgis, dang its not going so good for this dude he sprained his ankle an he cant go to work for like 3 months, doesnt like this much either! weird fact: Jonas disapears from his family. Omg and wow when i thought the conditions couldnt not get any worse, poor Stanislova got frostbite! yeah i think its just a bit too cold! Chapter 13, poor Kristoforas dies:( because of that stupid meat they sell! His mom didnt have money so Marija loaned her same for the funeral. Dang and thing for Jurgis yeah, not so good he cant find a job!:/ Chapter 14, Jurgis's amily knows all the secreats of that nasty meat place and things start not looking so great. The poor baby Antanas was suffering from sicknesses whenhe was only1 year old! ughh this just makes me sad! what a sad story yo! So Ona yeah that girl is pregnen again. And She keeps crying about how much life changed and i mean i dont blame her her life is not so grat at the moment. So chapter 15. Work= bad! these por people are working 15-16 hours! too much! So funky fact: Ona has not been home in 2 days!? weird much! So she lies and says shes with a friend. Yeah right!! She finally confesses she is with her boss as his mistress! Well guess what that mother flipping dude did??! raped her! wow what a freak! this makes me sooooo mad! So Jurgis stands up for his lady and puts his finger down the bosses throut! jajajaja:] this made me smaile! ut then frown because some nosey people got poor Jurgis and took him to the police station. Next long chapter, So Jurgis has a trail and has a 3hundred bond to pay. So he ends up going to jail. But o-m- to the flippin G the matteresses had bugs in them!! Are you kidding me this makes me want to punch a baby!!!! So he is in jail and one day he notices he is not with his family for christmas eve:[ this breaks my heart because family is sooo important for me and not hving them makes me sad! But he is still worried about Ona which makes me happy:].....kinda. So next chapet...almost the end :D......So he make a  friend who helps him a lot an this makes me happy because friends mean the world to me! What made e sad was when Stanislovas went to go visit him and told him everyone lost there job and couldnt pay the rent anymore!:[ uggh life is ssoo crazy! Next chapter, 18 So He was gonna get out but he didnt have the money to get out so they added 3 more days! ughhh freaks! So h walks home 20 miles! And he finds another family in his house! waaow what bad luck he is having!! If i was himi would ay on the street and cry and cry! So he gts informed his family is back at the boarding house. So he goes and the first thing he hears is Ona giving birth to there 2nd child.  Last chapter!!!:]] Yay! well not yay cuz its getting real sad...:// Ok chapter 19, So he goes out to get some one to attend Ona he finds this Madame Haupt chick and pays her 20  bucks. The lad told him to just leave for the night. So he did. When he came back Madame Haupt was covered in blood (ttally gave me the chiils!!): So she tells him that the baby dies and Ona is dying! ugghhhh:[[  So he rushes inthere to see Ona, but once she layed eyes on him She dies!!:((( ughh i wanted to cry at this part! So Jurgis didnt know what to do so he tured to alcohol to calm him. And honestly i don't have much too say aboiut that. Yes its bad but what else is he suppose to do! He just lost his wife! oo wll these chapters were worthreadig maybe not over my break but were worth it! I really like this book, even though it makes me mad. Well bye byes am lit! hopefully this bok doesnt get worse:/.

Sooo.. I'm reading Go ask Alice for my individual novel, and its a pretty chill book. I have got about 20 pages into the book and its seems pretty interesting. What i like about this book is the fact that its in journal entries and i feel it bores me less. I do like  the fact that she is our age and i could relate the fact that shes kinda going through the same thing. I really like this book! many students from this class have or are reading this book. Also i think its pretty cool that she turned everything around and lost weight changed how she dressed and changed her grades. And the best part is that she rejected that looser of a guy who played with her once! Guys are stupid and its awesome that  she rejected him. So far i like this book and im going get to reading so peace out yoo!:]]

The Jungle>> pages 41-72

So this book is getting very interesting i feel that i mam understanding it a lot more. In chapter 4 it starts out that Jorgis goes to work and he starts working an he feels he doesn't have tat hard of a job and he is very happy how much he is getting paid. Then he talks about how he starts a new beginning and he doesn't want to rent any more so he actually want to own a house:] I'm super happy he is doing this for the family, because he is showing he really cares for them. In chapter five he starts to describe where each individual of the family slept in the house. I think that they should have gotten a bigger house though because its a big family. They also start talking about the conditions of the place and uggghhh tat discusses me! I still cant believe they check the meat only once a month! talk about unhealthy!! Anyways great book its better than i thought it would be:]]

Well i picked topic number 3. I chose this because i think that war was the only way slavery would end, and if no one would take a stand and say this is wrong it would still be going on. I feel that war even though it is bad that who sides in one county world fight but if one side doesn't open its eyes to what is going on then something must happened! Many people before these people worked so hard as in making this country and for a a group of people wanting to destroy it there must be some what of an order. Even though it was very sad that even own families were fighting there was something wrong with what was going on. I feel that with all that was going on and all the thing that lead up to it war was the only way to get out of this.

okay my current American Lit reader! lets see my weekend totally burnt my brain OUT! jajaja i need need another day to recover...jiji! Well lets see i like this chapter it was pretty chill it all starts out pretty good with Douglass getting money even though it was only 3 bucks that's okay. I mean we all start some where. I believe there was only one part that disturbed me and it was when Mr. Auld got mad because Douglass paid him a day later. I mean even though Douglass is the one working he still still has to pay that freak!>>>Doesn't make sense! Well then came a Very Berry Special day *September 3rd*>>>remember it! He ran away!  wwwooohoo!! yeah that's whats its all about! Get that respect!

      well moving on...So this guy aka>> Douglass goes to a place known as New York (north to be exact). So he gets there and obviously doesn't know a soul in sight! But everyone makes friends so he made a friend known as Mr. David Rugglas!:]] So he take him in and tell him to go to a place called New Bed Ford Massachusetts. So time passes and this man aka>> Douglass meets this lovely women known as Anna, and they get married in New Bed Ford. This cheered me up so much! I mean today(Monday) is so gloomy and i mean chill butt boring so it was a good highlight to my day.I think its a great ending to this chapter because he is finally free and he is starting out a new begging. Its like if he was born again and he has a wife by his side, its just all amazing!♥♥♥Love= Happiness!

pg 40-52!! Very Very long!

So this was very long! I was getting a little confusing on what was going on. But i got it after reading it for like an hour and a half!! So lets see it all starts that Mr. Covey stops whipping him:) that's nice i mean he must be way happy he has some what of a power. The thing that really surprised me was that they would actually be nice enough to let them get some what a rest for the days between Christmas and new years. I feel that it was really wrong that the stupid<<< masters would make them get drunk and just enjoy seeing them get all wasted! like what the heck yo! That is just wrong you torture them enough let them rest!!! This got me mad! When he moved to Mr. Hopkins that sucked because he was a mean ANIMAL too!! I swear these stupid masters thought the slaves were just a piece of worthlessness but they were the ones being animals not respecting man kind and just using them to their benefit!! He then returned to Mr. Freeland house and that was nice he never really beat them or anything. So on pg 44 like the last paragraphs>> It starts to talk about how Douglass, Henry, and John want to escape. And it starts talking about their plan which seems pretty easy but they just don't know what they have to really go threw. Henry and John seem like the people that would actually run away just because of the fact that they weren't dumb and they wanted more then just being slaves for the rest of their lives. Which is nice. So the day come where they will be "running away" So this obviously does not succeed and they get caught before they even did it. I totally think those two people talking to the white men were the ones who told them. Well they went to jail. And the thing that really shocked me about this is that they said it wasn't that bad the only bad thing was the living condition and the fact that they didn't get much to eat. But think about it...how could you think jail is nice?  So it got me mad how Mrs. Freeland comes and gets Henry and John and she blames it all on Douglass i mean those two other idiots have brains think with its not like he forced them to run away!! Well any way they both get out and leave him alone. So he stays there for a while and then his Master finally come and gets him. (I have a question....How long was he there??? a little confused....) anyways... He goes to a Baltimore plantation place and there he gets beat by a whole bunch of people!! And then he goes back to his masters house Mr. Hugh and i thought it was nice how his mistress took care of Douglass and how the master didn't want him go back. That's nice.:] Then at the end it starts talking how he actually gets paid now thats nicetoo:]] good ending.. But then again super long story!! :]]

chapter 8 - pg 40*

YO YO YO!! So these chapters were very chill.. kind of long. Chapter 8 was just about how his master died and how he was put in the valuation with the land and animals and all. It kind of shocked me that they would put the slaves with the whole land thing to, like they seriously looked at them like a shovel or something like that. I was happy though that he didn't end up going with the mean son, master Andew. It kind of shocked me that Mrs. Lucretia died right away and right after her, Master Andrew died too. It was kind of strange how it hit every one at the same time. So they were left to Mrs. Lucretia's husband who didn't really have much but was left in possession of everything because everyone else had died. I could understand why at that point Douglass was thinking of running away because he pretty much just flopping from person to person like a piece of clothing or something. In chapter 9 he moves back to Colonel Lloyd's which kind of surprised me to, because he changed so much and didn't have that connection with Douglass any more which is sad because i feel he had hopes to still have a connection, some what of a friendship with him. in chapter 10 he goes to a Mr. Coveys field place, and this man omg, is so mean! He would whip him so much and leave bump on poor Douglass!! And this was really the first times where he got whipped this bad! It was also the flirt plantation he was on field work. It was so sad how the stupid master dude just kept kicking Douglass when he was in pain. And it got me mad how he went to the min master and asked for a switch and all he said is to go back and didnt care about how he felt.  These chapters just got me mad and i didnt really enjoy them. But i still think its a good story to read.:]]

Reaction 5-7 October 6th 2010

The more i read this story the more i realize that America ignores the fact we did so much harm the African Americans. In these three chapters certain things stood out to me like in chapter 5 it was saying he got close to his master and he wouldn't do much hard field work but just heard cows, clean the garden an house. It was also very sad how the little kids would get fed and what they had to wear threw the winter and summer. I also thought it was very sad how they would travel on ship especially after seeing that video in Mr. Garcia's. In chapter 6 the thing that sticks out to me is his new Mistress, she was so nice to him and even started teaching him stuff like the A B C's. The big thing that stood out to me was when Mrs. Alud started to yell at Alas (pg 24 paragraph 3) and starts telling her this and that about African Americans that they don't deserve to know anything and if you give them a little they will over rule you. This i think is what struck him the most and gave him the motivation to say i can do this and prove to you i can be better then you. In chapter 7  it talks about how his mistress would still teach him even though she knew she would get in trouble and he soon started reading and putting words together and he pushed him self to write. Which was a great ending to chapter 7:]]

Amistad Ship

The amistad ship was very sad. I thought it was crazy how they would just throw them over board how could they just do that. I thought it was very sad how if they had their baby with them they still had to go through all the torture. And how they would feed them was just so sad. I think this topic is interesting to learn about i guess, but at the same time i don't really want to learn about it. I think i would not jump off the ship because i wouldn't want to give up and make my self die. But then again they went through so much maybe they would loose hope about life and they thought they were never going to get out of the trouble they were in. If i had my baby on board with me i would do all i could to give it food and give it what ever type of food i could to keep it alive. I think that if my baby would die i would loose a lot of hope but i would keep going on with life. I don't see why they would get so many slaves and then just throw them off board. That a waste of time and they just get them to make them suffer and have them die in water. This was way to sad but i think it helps that we learn about it.

My Reaction-->>Chapter 2-4

Well i read threw the chapters an they were quite simple and easy to understand the plot.I think it was real harsh how they would treat them. And the one thing that would really chock mi is the conditions and what they had to go threw every single one of those days. it said on pg 14 paragraph 2- they got an allowance, but what kind of allowance is getting a couple pieces of meat and a couple pieces of clothing. They got one jacket and that was for everything so by the time winter came it was probably all worn out. Another thing that really shocked me is that thy didn't even have beds to sleep on! What kind of torture is that!!:[ Another thing that stuck out to me was that children from 7 to 10 years old would hardly ever get clothing to put on since they didn't really work!! Dang this story real sad. It nice to know what happened but this is just to much! Also another thing that really stood out was the fact that killing a black person was normal and not a crime! Its never right to kill any one! And the masters thought they were amazing just because they had money and were white! It shocked mi how the masters of the slaves would enjoy hitting people and torturing them for what ever reason! I like this book yet don't because it is just too sad.

My Reaction--->>Chapter 1, October 4th 2010

Well i think that they did two letters because they wanted to see what other people thought about the writing. Also the people that did the letters  had two different points of views. I think this helped because people always want to know what other people think about a certain writing. Chapter one was pretty chill. It talked about his life and all and about his mom and dad. I thought it was a good begging and i actually understood it for once. I liked how it talked about all the important people to him first so you know who the story is about and what they all went threw. It is sad of what all he had to go threw and how certain people don't even know how old they are. This seems like its going to be a pretty good story, and something more interesting then Common Sense. Its also way sad how they take the moms away from their children once they reach 1 months old. I feel this story may be very sad, but it will also be more interesting to learn more about the slaves and what all they had to go there from their point of view.

But homecoming was amazing!:]] had a blast. We went to go eat to TGI Fridays and i did end up going with Juan he goes to Eaton and he was making fun of the fact we still were celebrating even though we lost. But yesterday he got in a fight and ended up in the hospital so i may go visit him today. I cant wait for tis following weekend having a big O party:]] Well had a great weekend!>>>Unforgetable.
